BBA were commissioned to design a 150-bedroom 4* hotel as part of the wider HD1 masterplan to create a sport focused retail and leisure destination adjacent to the John Smiths stadium in Huddersfield. The hotel includes associated food and beverage facilities, gym, and meeting rooms in addition to external terracing, soft landscape, and parking.

The modern façade was designed to create a striking new riverside frontage to the northern side of the River Colne facing the main stadium.
