The proposals include the demoli­tion of the existing bar / nightclub on Merrion Street in Leeds and the erection of a part 5, part 7, part 9 storey purpose built student accommodation block containing 88 en-suite studios and associate common spaces, storage, plant and servicing. The building occupies a prime site in the up and coming Merrion Quarter of the city. The building massing and appearance has been sensitively designed to create a taller building proposal whilst responding to the adjacent Grand Quarter Conservation Area.
