Creation of a comprehensive Masterplan for a new sustainable village at the former RAF Wyton Site in rural Cambridgeshire. BBA assisted in the development of the brief and outline design for the new build village consisting of elderly persons housing, extracare, MOD, social and affordable homes, an enterprise zone and tech park all centred around a new neighbourhood centre at the heart of the development.

The design was based around a new infrastructure of sweeping landscaped boulevards focused around cycle networks and sustainable transport. The contemporary modular housing proposals created clusters of houses orientated around shared semi-private garden spaces and courtyards. The scheme was complemented by extensive areas of landscaping and open greenspace.
