Saxton Heights is a 207 unit social housing scheme built over 20 storeys for Vico Homes ( previously known as Wakefield and District HA ).

The scheme was originally granted planning permission as a Build to Rent development, designed by Cartwright Pickard for a private developer. Brewster Bye successfully repositioned and implemented the scheme as a City Living affordable housing concept, funded through Homes England.

Brewster Bye were responsible for the preparation of Non-Material Amendments (NMEs), planning updates and condition discharges, as well as delivering the scheme through RIBA Stages 4–5.

Saxton Heights features 1 to 4 bed units and was redesigned from its initial planning arrangement to incorporate a second staircase, and natural smoke ventilation. The scheme complies with NDSS as well as M4(2) and M4(3) accessibility. The scheme uses a PV arrangement to provide an energy offset to all the apartments.
